Maaaan, what an end to summer

Root canal infection is still kicking my butt. I'm almost done with my second type of anti-biotic, and it still hasn't totally killed the infection. I dunno wtf is going on. This second type though, I think it worked a LITTLE bit, in that my face is less puffy and I can brush the tooth sorta, but it still hurts to put pressure on it. Blah, I'll be calling the root canal people on Wednesday when I finish my anti-biotic to order me another one, generic if they can >.o Want the pain to go away plz -_-;;

New semester seems like it'll be okay. I haven't had class yet, but so far things are going well. I've been talking more with people I actually like being around, and dealing with at least one of my other "friend" issues, which may FINALLY be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel *fingers crossed* Some things got cleared up with another friend, so now I'm not so pissed at her XP For now, my roommates and I are getting along, and the apartment got an upgrade while I was away. New paint, new carpet, new fixtures. It's all pretty nice, actually.

Been tagging along on some of the new student stuff, including a trip to SF Zoo, and the Sausalito Art Festival. Zoo was fun as always, though I did turn a little lobstery >.o So today before the festival, I rolled around in sunblock XDDD;; OF COURSE, brilliant me forgot the part in my hair, and the tops of my hands, so those are the only spots that got sunburned XP Festival was pretty boring though. Lots of fancy still lifes and sculptures and crap that were waaaaayyyy over-priced and obviously meant for rich people. I mean yeah, it's Sausalito, BUT STILL. Paulina and I finished looking at everything in like, two hrs, and spent the rest of the time finding shade to rest in and bitch about life XP

Tomorrow night I finally have class, so I'm kinda excited. I know all the people in the class, and we're all really good animators, so I hooooope it'll be a good class where I'll actually learn something. Sherrie has high hopes for the teacher, so we'll see. FINGERS CROSSED. But it'll be nice to be animating again, even if it's Maya. Though my Maya program doesn't seem to want to install properly (restored my computer the other weeked), so I'ma mess around with that tomorrow before I go to class. Otherwise I'ma have to see if Sarah knows how to fix it >.o

This week is kinda crazy, in that I have class tomorrow, going to the movies Wednesday night, new chiropractor on Thursday to look at my neck, and a friend's party on Friday. Someone else invited me to their birthday on Saturday, but she's friends with loooads of people I don't like, so I'm probably gonna pass and invite her to like, dessert and mimosas one-on-one or something when I have the money :P

Soooo Krystin went on this big kick the other day and decided to cut my hair XDDD

I now have layers in the front :3 Like, some of which are super short when my hair curls XP But I like it :D It's different in a good way, which is totally something I needed right now. My hair needs a trim, which she wanted to do anyway, so I might let her mess with it some time this weekend. Too bad she can't cut my hair while I'm animating XP

Will post photos some time when I get a chance :D I should ask Jessie to take photos for me today :E

Posting 'cause I need a break from Maya @.@ Christ alive, my eyes hurt.

My awesome dialogue is starting to work after spending most of the day on it. Now I just need some help with one of the lines ("shooters" is apparently a hard word to shape @.@), and I still ned to smooth out one of the arms actions 'cause it pops and bobbles a lot >.o Bah. Otherwise, I like it a lot now :3 Just need some final polishing (hopefully to be done by tomorrow) and that one'll be set for my reel.

I also need to polish up my off balance, which I guess I'll go do after I take out the trash. The off balance will be going on my reel after my dialogue, so it doesn't have to be AS perfect, but I do like it a lot as well, so I wanna fix up the issues it's having. Right now the second half, the box feels super light compared to the beginning, so I need to adjust the poses to make it heavy again. Also need some overlap, but I'm getting the hang of small details I had forgotten about (like fingers and wrists and things). Slowly coming together, I hope.

I also need to throw a walk cycle together, but I hate cycles >.o I have a nifty model to use, so at least my reel won't be an army of girl Normans :P My teacher last semester showed us the model, and it's this neat little robot guy, so I'ma give him a try. Probably do that tomorrow.

I also need to rework my prop assignment after getting shredded on it the other week :\ I'ma go back to the blocking stage and change it there, where it'll be easier. If I can, I want to spend most of Monday working on it.

ALSO, I need to work on my two person dialogue, but I'm not sure when I'll get time for that this week. I dunno what my teacher is expecting from me on it since I started it a while ago, and he has yet to give me a critique since I e-mailed him on Tuesday or Wednesday. Might let it slide since I need to catch up on my 2D work.

I have a feeling my 2D is going to fall a bit behind this week, again -_- We only need to add BDs though, which I already did, so I might be okay. I do need to tweak a few of the poses, though, and work on getting it more on model so it actually -looks- like Jasmine :P Might add extra BDs when I get a chance, which probably means Thursday night after workshop XD;;; Feh.

Character Design is awesome :D My teacher is so positive X3 She really likes the creature I designed and gave me some ideas for the maquette. She did suggest I use my little girl char -and- this creature, but I don't think I'd have time to make it well if I did that >.o Which is a bummer, 'cause I like the idea. So I'ma do my creature dancing without the girl :D I realized that if I just take my horse model in Maya and pose it like my creature, I can figure out my turn around from that :3 I just need to do it XD;;; Not sure when that'll happen though :P Might have to do it during one of my 3D classes this week.

I'm sitting in Jessie's class right now XD I'm ditching the one I have later today 'cause I feel like ass (period + migraine = uuuugh), so for the morning I'm joining Jessie's class while I work on my Char Design stuff :P Her class is super quiet @.@ I've had classes like this before, and it's a total bummer when no one talks to each other >.o Muh. The teacher seems nice though, and according to Jessie, he's like our Char Design teacher XD;;;

Stressing out hardcore >.o Trying to meet my deadlines for internships. I need to have everything mailed off by the 14th -_- And I'm still animating :| It seems like my best stuff is the stop motion I did yrs ago XD;; Feh. Unfortunately, not much of my stuff shows stories, no thanks to my teachers -_- So a lot of my stuff is nice, but not amazing or applicable for finding a job >.o On the plus side, I'm meeting with Sherrie today, so I can talk to her and see what she suggests. Hopefully it'll be something I actually have time to do :| Right now my reel is much more important than my classes >.o Whether my teachers like it or not :P

I've also signed up for classes for the last time :D Though I'm sure I'll end up changing my classes around XP But for now, this summer I'm taking Power of Myth and Symbol (online) and my internship. HOWEVER, if I don't get the internship, then I'm switching my online class to on-site and will take Intro to Flash as well. Not too excited about the Flash class though .-. Not really into it. As for Fall, I'm taking Independent Study with Sherrie, Intro to Animal Anatomy, and Maya for Traditional Animators. I'm really only looking forward to the class with Sherrie. The others are just kinda meh. The animal one is so I at least know what's going on under the skin, and the Maya one is just so I have another animation class. I wanna pick Sherrie's brain, though, 'cause I'm not too excited about these classes.

A random Dresbach added me on Facebook today .-. I went ahead and added him anyway, but it looks like he's just trying to find other Dresbachs :P

What else... :E Trying to convince my 2D teacher to let me change my lion animation, which he's not too happy about XD;; But right now it's really plain with no story, so I want to change it to show more emotion, make it more interesting. Plus I wanna change it to a snow leopard, not a lion, which then I could change the story completely. Soooo, yeah, my teacher's not too thrilled about that XD;; Might be something I'll do this summer when I have time. I'll be in the city, so I can still use the lab. We're now working on an exercise with Jasmine, where she drinks a cup of tea. I'm giving it a story, but unfortunately it's a Disney character, not my own, so no reel for me >.o

OMFG SO TIRED @.@

Had an early class today and my teacher FINALLY gave me a critique. He looked at me like I was nuts when I reminded him he hasn't talked to me in over two weeks about my stuff. I told him I didn't like my dance and wanted to do something simpler and different, so he gave in and is letting me do it XP He didn't have a lot to say about my dialogue, just to add mouth shapes and more overlap. Not too bad I s'pose :E

Tomorrow is one of my least favorite classes, and I dunno how it's gonna go. I think my teacher hates me XD;; Oh well. He better like one of my fucking projects >.o I like my off balance, but not so much my prop. We'll see how it goes tomorrow -_- I need to work on both those projects more, I'm just taking a quick break right now to check my internetings XP

Spent the afternoon with Bethany, wherein we nommed on Thai food, window shopped, and then came back here where she showed me how to use iWeb. Contemplating using it, at least temporarily. She showed me a site where it's like, $200 for 3 yrs with unlimited space and your own domain name. So I'ma look into that. She also gave me advice about which name to use, as I'm not keen on using my last name as it's huge and people have a hard time pronouncing it. She said to use my full name, and that way when I sign personal works as Heather Rose, people will still understand that it's me. Makes sense XDDD

Deadlines are sneaking up fast and it's starting to freak me out >.o Gonna work on my website thing tomorrow night when I have time, but game companies (for internships) are due next week on the 1st, and everywhere else is due April 17th/20th. Spring Show is also due that same weekend -_- Ugh, kill me now. Not so sure about the game companies as nothing will be perfectly done by then, but a game friend of mine said they don't mind seeing WIPs and they want to see 2D and drawings, so I may not be too horribly off. Need to figure out a sensible way to organize my reel this way though. Gonna talk to Sherrie (head of the 2D dept) and see what she thinks. Muh, so much to keep in mind >.o

And during all this, I'm trying to figure out the best way to move out with two of my friends, as well as wedding dates (my best friend and then my cousin are both getting married soon), and internship stuff. 'Scuse me while I tear my hair out :P

I'm apparently moving out for sure now this summer, depending on where/if I get an internship. Will be moving out with Krystin and Jessie, hopefully some place still close to where I currently live when in SF.
There are a SHIT TON of amazing films out this year. Coraline and Watchmen being two that I've already seen, and will be seeing Watchmen again this weekend. Many others come out soon, such as Star Trek, Terminator Salvation, UP, 9, Alien Trespass, Knowing, Pandorum, and so very, very many more. Hollywood is finally making up for yrs of crap films.
My ex from hella yrs ago started randomly IMing me >.o I haven't talked to him since we broke up, and it was a very messy break up, making me kinda weirded out he's found me again. Though I've been nice, mostly 'cause I don't care, I have too much other crap to worry about, and it's too much of an effort to be a bitch :P
Graduation is creeping ever closer and I'm getting more and more nervous. Doubt is trying to squeeze its way in, and it's hard keeping it at bay >.o Tomorrow I'm meeting with the head of the 2D department to talk about internships and my final set of classes. Hopefully we can work out an awesome final semester.
I'm slowly making contacts out in the world, and it makes me happy to know I've made such good impressions on people :) Enough so that they give me incredibly sweet recommendations and keep in touch with me via personal e-mail and class.
Dad has moved in with his ex-wife, and thusly I have cut all contact with him. Granted he's fucking me over on insurance AGAIN (even though he only has to deal with it a few more months until I turn 24, so I dunno wtf is so hard), and now mom and I neither have a way to get ahold of him. I'm going to try e-mailing him, but I dunno how well that will work. I refuse to keep in touch with him so long as he lives with his ex, so unless he gets off his ass and contacts ME first, I'm done.
My car has a new door :D Apparently it's a really good one, too, and all went smoothly with the payments from the other people's insurance and everything. Mom says my car looks good as new, at least if you ignore all the fuck ups left over from the last accident XP
I'm understanding Maya better now, enough so that I can explain it to Jessie and my roommate, and they actually get what I'm saying :D It's still time consuming as fuck though >.o And there seem to be ways of making life easier, which Josh has been showing me, much to his ever-awesome patience :P I need to bug him to come over on Wednesday to help XD;;
I need to update the pictures on my wall. I have some crazy bad-ass photos from WonderCon that need to be up for everyone to see :D Particularly myself, as that weekend refreshed and inspired me on so many levels.
I'm behind in my 2D class, but with Jessie's help and many long hrs at the lab, I'm starting to conquer this assignment. It's a quadruped walk, in perspective, that not only comes closer, but jumps onto and off a log X_x It's really hard, but I know it'll be a gorgeous animation to have on my reel.
Shannon and mom visited this weekend on separate days. Yesterday was spent with Shannon, Jessie, and Jamie, my favorite Asians :D They make me happy X3 *wiggles* Found a skirt for Shannon's wedding, so now I just need a shirt and I'll be set. Even got the jewelry and already have the shoes :D Mom came today, and we wandered around in the rain. She found some super nice (and cheap :D) shoes for work, and I got to spend time with her X3 Gave her some prints from one of my friends (he gave Jessie and I a ton of his work for free 'cause it had been printed on the wrong paper) for her birthday, and she loved them :D So huzzah!
Got an account on LinkedIn -and- on Twitter. Linkedin will be great for professional purposes, and Twitter is just addicting XP Linkedin is good 'cause a lot of companies post job openings there first 'cause it's cheapest and you can connect with people and their friends. Later I'll be posting my reel and web site to Linkedin once I get both up and running.
Bethany's going to help me next week with putting a web site together :D She knows how to use iWeb, which is apparently a nifty program for Mac, so she's gonna show me how to use it and get my site together. Then I'll just need to find a place to host it.
Health-wise, I fucked up my foot hella weeks ago and it's still not better >.o I think I sprained a muscle, so it's doing what my back did last summer and tenses up when I walk. Getting out of the top bunk is fuuuun in the morning :| I need to go to a pediatrist (or however you spell it), and an acupuncturist, I just haven't had the time. Hopefully soon after I submit my demo reels.

Woooo, been back in SF for a week, and it feels so good to be back X3 As much as big cities bug me, I miss SF when I'm away.

Kind of a slack week, filled mostly with running errands, bitching at Housing, going to the de Young with Krystin, zoo trips, noms at CPK with some friends, and Chel moving in :D The de Young was kinda cool, I was just sore and tired, so walking everywhere was making me ache like crazy. Got to see a lot of new stuff though, so that was fun. Krystin and I discovered we were in New Zealand at the same exact time, in the same city, and even the same museum. Super creepy. Zoo trips weren't bad. Went with Jessie, and on one trip, Chris tagged along. It rained both days, but that meant we were pretty much the only people in the zoo :D Got in some good sketches, but I ended up doing a bit more on my own time this weekend, thanks to the tons of ref videos I now have. CPK was made of win X3 Well, minus certain people inviting others without asking me first :| That was obnoxious. But other than that, it was fun. The bill wasn't too much of a pain, and it was a small enough group that it wasn't too hard to bounce around talking to everyone. Chel moved in later that night and she finished unpacking today. So far we're getting along fine and thankfully she doesn't have a ton of crap XD You can see the floor in our room, omg! :O Amazing!

Tomorrow my friend Lauren is coming up for a visit X3 Haven't seen her since LoveFest, so I'm excited :D I have an appt with Ed in the morning, so she's probably gonna tag along for that, and maybe she'll learn something XP Sounds like her school's 3D department is crap like mine. Afterwards we're just gonna hang out all day and Jessie'll stop by at some point. I'm pretty much set for classes starting on Tuesday, so I don't really have a whole lot to do :P Gonna take advantage of tomorrow while I can X3

Yeah, so I got in another car accident today, #4 in the last 8 yrs.

I was in a parking lot with Jessie, and we had just finished grocery shopping and were on our way home. I backed out of my spot and was sitting in the road, starting to switch into gear to go forward. I was still sitting still when this giant truck BACKED INTO ME. They crushed my driver's side door and the mirror broke off completely. Like, I totally need a new door.

An old lady was driving (big surprise) and was SO worried. She said she didn't see me at all and she was so worried and was I okay and omgomgomg. We exchanged info, though I found out later I didn't get quite enough info that I need X_x She admitted it was her fault, and we were both having an off day, and we both treated each other really nicely. It was the most pleasant car accident I've been in so far :P Thoooough when the woman left, someone else pointed out my tired was flat :| Totally not the lady's fault, but it still sucked.

So I'm okay, Jessie's okay, and my car needs another new door. The lady and her husband and grandson were okay (I'm assuming) and I dunno if her truck took any damage. I doubt it though :|

What a day, bluh. I knew I should have stayed in bed.

Sooooo my hard drive is failing :D WOO

I went to the Apple Store in Castro Valley the other day with Jessie, and the guy I ended up with was a DOOOOUUUCHE. He kept insisting my Applecare Warranty expired a year ago when IN FACT it's good for another year :| My power chord was also crapping out, and when I asked how long I could get away without replacing it, he replied in a very condescending tone that it could short out my computer the next day. I also asked about how soon I needed to replace my hard drive, and he said (again in a very shitty manor) that it could die tomorrow, or last three to four more yrs. I asked about whether or not I should just replace the hard drive, or buy another laptop, and he shrugged and walked off to get me a new $85 power cord >.o Doooouuuccchhheee.

So I called mom this morning, and she checked our warranty, and has the numbers that prove it's still good for another year. I didn't open the new power cord, and am still currently using my old one until tomorrow in which I have ANOTHER Apple appt with the store in SF where the people are less douchey. Backed up all my stuff today onto my external, so hopefully I got everything, and tomorrow after my awesome trip to Japantown with a hoard of Asians, we'll go to the Apple store where they can fix mah baby for free :D

OTHER THAN THAT :E

New Years was awesome, as I spent it with Jessie, our friend Chris, and his girlfriend and sister. Lots of stupid pictures I have yet to load XD Mostly 'cause of the computer issues popping up. But yeah, it was lots of fun X3 We played drinking games and watched Lion King (VHS style baby), then Men in Tights, and ates lots of tasty noms.

Tomorrow I'm heading to Japantown with Jessie and her sister and her sister's anime group from high school. AAAAND Shannon, my best buddy from Sonora, is driving all the way down here at the crack of dawn to come with us X3 I'm so friggin' excited for that *wiggles* It'll be a fun day, despite dragging my laptop around for the appt afterwards >.o But yeah, totally looking forward to Japantown geekiness :D

Sunday, Jessie and I are going to see "Yes Man" at one of the theatres nearby, and then we're gonna nom at On The Border X3 I squeed when I saw it the other night when we went shopping :D Theeeeennn I dunno wtf else we'll do that day XP Something productive probably. Hopefully >.>;;; I dunno what I'll get done without my computer, but whatevers XD;;

We're gonna be doing lots of animation and zoo hopping and hanging out with friends X3 It's gonna be so much fun :D I dunno how we'll have time for everything XDDD Sunday we're gonna be going to the mall and grocery store, Monday we's gonna be animating, and Tuesday was... something. I forgot already XD;;; Our buddy Chris is having a New Year's Eve party we're going to, and on the 3rd we're going to Japantown with her sister and her anime club :E Shannon's gonna come too X3 Gonna be so fun :D OH, yeah, I think Tuesday was gonna be a zoo day :E Probably zoo again on Friday XP Thursday we'll be recooperating, hahaha XD Our first week is already hella full @.@ It's craaaazy. We have so much to do in the like, 2 weeks I'll be there @.@

But yeah, it's gonna be a fun way to bring in the New Year :3 I is muchly excited X3 *wiggles*

Mostly I'm just excited XD While Jessie and I have a lot of work to do, we're gonna have a chance to have a lot of fun, which we both need after the semester we just had. It's gonna be made of win :D And there are gonna be sooooo many photos on Facebook @.@ Ahahaha

And then Jessie gets to come back to Sonora for about a week, and we're gonna be running around with Fox and Shannon a lot XD Probably go to Modesto for a day with Shannon as sort of a Bachelorette thing for Shannon since she's getting married in May and I'll be away at school until then :E And Fox is gonna drive me and Jessie around on a bunch of back roads so Jessie can see the more rural side of Sonora X3

I has a meeting with my 2D teacher today :E And of course, I start the day off with gnarley cramps FOR NO REASON, so I'm not in the most fabulous of moods. Add to that that I'm having issues getting the right reference filmed for my 3D class which is due TONIGHT, yyyyeah, it's not a good Monday. I'm only here 'cause I'm sitting on the floor, hoping my cramps will go away now that I've had some food. Blugh, hate Mondays so much this semester, mostly 'cause I have my 3D class tonight, and that class tends to bug me.

Going home for Thanksgiving, and looking forward to some much needed time off. Weee.

Okay, hopefully my stomach has chilled out now .-. Need to go get ready to conquer the Mondaaaayyy

My right wrist keeps popping all over the place >.< The left does it too, but not as bad. Faaabulous. My knees also hurt like a bitch all the time, regardless if I'm walking or sitting. I have to keep stretching my legs out when I'm sitting around. Bleh.

I also needed a break from studying, hence the update :P I really don't have time, but whatevs. I have my Art History midterm today at 3:30, so I'm doing some last minute cramming. I hope I remember everything @.@ I fucking hate tests, bleh

Life is... life XD;;; Ahahaha, I dunno. I'm animating every day, 6-7 days a week, trying to finish this project in time for the fall festival deadline. I dun think I'll get everything inbetweened and pretty in time, so I need to ask my teacher how much I need to have done for it to be spiffeh enough for the festival thingy. (PS- my teacher paid for my and my friend's lunch twice in one week XD We bought him lots of chocolate) Also, my 3D wushu scene will be done within the next week or two, so I'ma submit that as well. Lots of work needs to be done on that still. I finally got a bit inspired last night, so I need to tweak with it more to get it to something I actually give a shit about.

Going to 180 on Friday to properly record my narration and dialogue for my animation. Chel and Bethany are awesome X3 *wiggles* They have no idea how much I appreciate them helping me out with this.

Saturday I have a make-up class down at 180, so I need to speedily get my work done before them. I'll probably work on my 3D tonight when I get home from this exam, and update my reel tomorrow night instead of tonight. WEEE CRAMMING @.@

I dunno how the fuck I haven't gone nuts yet. By this point last semester, I was super snappy and ready to break someone's neck in an instant. Maybe it's the vitamins making me chill out finally XP Only took 4 months @.@ That or I just don't give a crap anymore about anything other than school, so I ignore everything else fairly well. Except when my roommates burst into the room, don't notice me in bed, and turn on all the lights and start banging around >.< That's when I get super grumpy and start making gurgling grunt noises and try to curl further into myself

Going home for Thanksgiving, weee. Mom's gonna pick me up early on Tuesday that week, take me home, and then we might come back to the Bay to see my aunt and uncle (and their friend who wants to see my work X3), then home, then back to SF on the weekend to drop me off. Kinda looking forward to getting away from all the noise and a chance to take a break from cramming in work. Definitely something I need.

It's cold :| Wtf, SF, it was 80+ just a few days ago. Craaaack. Oh, also, did another photoshoot with Misael X3 He's gonna give me prints from this one and the one we did last semester. W00t w00t

Trying not to get sick. Everyone's getting sick lately >.o And the school, being the idiots that they are, are only doing flu shots down at 79 on days/times when I have class >.< So I can't go, and Walgreens isn't doing them again until Nov 20th :| LAME. Need to find some place else sooner. Mom keeps telling me how bad the flu season is gonna be this year, and I can't afford to get sick. Muh.

I've spent the weekend animating projectile puke :D And will hopefully finish fine-tuning it tomorrow, as well as some other scenes that needs some tweaking

I'll try to remember to pose the scene whenever I get the chance XP I'm trying to work overtime right now to get ahead on some projects. We'll see what happens :E

Went to an SG party a few days ago with Chel at Ruby Skye. It was alright, but I was expecting more socializing than there really was. It was kinda like a high school dance, where everyone stood off to the side while a few people danced. Had to rescue Chel a few times from some jerkwad who couldn't take a hint. The music was bad-ass though, so it was okay I guess. SG members only paid five bucks, so whatever :P

For once I'm somewhat ahead on my work :E Well, kinda. All my work is done for tomorrow and I have half my work done for Wednesday. I forgot I need to paint a 9-step value scale, so I need to do that tomorrow. The rest of tonight I'll probably work on my reel some more. I need to find music to go along with it, so I've been digging through my game soundtracks to find something fitting. So far I have a few possibilities from Chrono Cross, but I'm not totally satisfied just yet.

ILM is gonna be here tomorrow <333 So I'm going to their presentation tomorrow evening with some 3D guys from my building. Hopefully it'll start on time, 'cause I have class at 7, so I'll have to leave early.

Oh, went to LeatherFest today with Paulina. Same ole same ole for me :P But I did get to explain everything to Paulina, so that was fun XDDD I wanted to buy stuff, but I'm broke so :P I grabbed business cards instead so I can check stuff out later on.

Aaaaaand my attention span crashed, so I'm going back to work XD;;;

So like, my five yr old speakers are finally starting to die. Like, the power button doesn't always want to stay pushed in, so I have to have it taped down, but not all the way or else it won't work XD;;; It's very touchy, and keeps dying every few minutes. SOOOO I'm looking into getting new ones whenever I have the money, and wanted to know your guys's opinion :E I don't need anything fancy, and cheap is always good. I also need super portability, 'cause I take my speakers back and forth with me to school. Oh, and the less wires, the better :P I've been poking around a bit on Newegg.com, but half the jargon goes right over my head XD;; The main thing I do with sound is listen to music, watch movies, and editing/animation. So I need something decent 'cause I have dialogue projects coming up and can't have my speakers crapping out every five seconds when I'm trying to animate. Oh, and the left speaker on my actual laptop died, so I can't just use those speakers either XD;;;

Oh look! An update! :O Gasp!

Moving back to SF went okay. Dad wasn't as bad as I was expecting, and even took me and my roommate to lunch. Got all settled in within about two days, and hung out with my roommate a lot. We get along really well :P It's kinda nice for once, haha XD The other girl arrived a few days later, and she seems pretty anti-social and messy, but hopefully that'll change soon. We'll see how that goes, since she's the one I share a room with.

Classes started on Thursday, and my 2D class is gonna be hardcore from the sounds of it. It's probably gonna be hard to keep up with if I don't make a point of getting my work done asap. My friend David is in there, and I recognized a few people, so that's okay. It was easy to spot the brown-noser and fish out of water people right away though X_x Thank god for headphones :P There are also some uber fangirls that sit next to me, but oh well.

I told my 2D teacher (I've had him for 2D every semester since last fall) that I'm freaking out about my work, 'cause my 3D work is shit compared to my 2D, and I'm graduating soon and I want to work for Pixar and blahblahblah. Basically I wanted him to look at my work and give me an idea of what's working, where I need to improve, and how to start improving. He had said in class that people like to see projects outside of school, so I have a feeling he might want me to work on more stuff outside of class for my portfolio @.@

Going out to CPK with a bunch of people tonight <333 I haven't seen most of them since Spring semester, so I'm totally excited :D That and CPK is nummy XP But yeah, we're all going out around 6 tonight and it's gonna be so much fun catching up with everyone X3 *wiggle*

OH, there was an earthquake last night @.@ Krystin (one of my roomies) and I were watching a movie on my comp when the file glitched, then there was this HUGE jolt right afterwards @.@ It looked like only people higher up noticed, 'cause people on the ground seemed oblivious, while people in other buildings on the higher floors were sticking their heads out the window to see wtf was going on. It was.... interesting. I didn't know you could get just a jolt from an earthquake. I thought it was always those short bits of rumblings. But yeah, that was fun @.@ I thought my hard drive was fucking up, but it was just an earthquake XD;;

Gonna try to finish up my art history homework today so I don't have to deal with it for the next week or so. Then I need to work on my model sheets, then do my laundry once my roommate wakes up (no one gave me a laundry key, so I have to wait to use hers -_-) so I can be all clean and pretty tonight X3
